At first glance, many might ask, why not solve your problems internally, whether it be a cost reduction effort, a strategic move to enter a new market, or an upgraded digital/fintech project? Sometimes the reason can be simple. An external perspective is needed for guidance and protection.

A financial institution may choose to take whatever incentive is offered and extend its contract, but that might not be the best path forward based on the financial modeling and competitive market. This happens frequently because the financial institution doesn’t plan on changing vendors, have the time or expertise to analyze the offer, or have visibility into what options are possible.
