This month’s employee spotlight is on Doug Lokrantz. Doug has been with Engage fi for nine months as a Project Manager. He is a go-getter, determined to solve any problem, and will lead his peers while doing so. He has 15+ years of experience in the industry, and we couldn’t be happier that his path led him to Engage fi. Doug’s favorite quality of Engage fi is the culture centered around teamwork and growth. His advice to new hires would be to “keep your feet and hands inside the cart at all times and enjoy the ride.”
Doug is from a small town in Wisconsin, where he grew up on a farm. Growing up, his favorite ‘toys’ were his family’s tractors and farm equipment. He then went on to receive his BA from Saint Leo University and his MSA from Central Michigan University. Doug spent 23 years in Florida but recently moved back to Wisconsin. The city he currently resides in “is so small the temperature changes when somebody leaves.” And to add to his outstanding accomplishments, Doug is PMP certified through the Project Management Institute, Scrum Master certified through Scrum Alliance, and a certified Crypto Auditor through Blockchain.
Outside the office, Doug also enjoys golfing, playing pool, snowmobiling, kayaking, and reading. He has three children, twin boys and a daughter, whom he loves to visit in their home states of Florida and North Carolina. One of Doug’s favorite things is to attend outdoor concerts. His first concert was Bon Jovi (and yes, he is still touring 😊).

Q: What does true leadership mean to you? A: When I was completing the coursework for my Ph.D. I was asked to define leadership. The following is my definition of leadership: Leadership is having or obtaining the ability to influence others in such a way that they voluntarily follow you.
